Ruinart må vara den äldsta champagneproducerande firman, men Gosset var vinmakare av stilla viner mycket tidigare. Redan 1584 sålde Pierre Gosset sitt vin d'Aÿ som négociant. Gosset tillhör de verkliga traditionalisterna i området, med handetikettering och degorgering. Man använder också gamla ekfat där årgångsvinerna lagras en kortare tid, vilket endast ger en antydan till ekkaraktär. Vinerna är alltid fylliga och rika med ett stort inslag av Aÿpinot och högklassig Chardonnay.
Mindre mäktig och koncentrerad än Grande Réserve, men mer njutbar i stora portioner. Vinet är rikt på Pinotfrukt och chokladaromer. Dosagen är onödigt hög i båda Gossets standardchampagner.
