Written Notes

This has more classic cabernet notes than the 2005. A cooler year – which leads to the use of less fruit from the cooler Corryton Park vineyards, evidenced by an even split between that vineyard and those from the Barossa floor. There is a hint of mint/eucalyptus, but not as much is to be found in the previous year. More coffee grind notes here. This is quite a seamless style and offers a bright acid grip. Plenty of tannins here. Has better length than its predecessor, is more elegant and has attractive dark fruits. One for the future.
