The Story

These are probably the most appreciated Ports from our House. Colheita Ports are single year Ports of a high quality level which have to be matured in wood for at least seven years. Normally they are bottled just before they leave our cellars, which may happen much later than the 7th year of age. Wine Information

Outstanding year for Port. A normal winter followed by a dry period from April to September. A small quantity of rain fell late September. Small production of very sweet wines full of tannins.

Vintage 1966

Port Vintage Report: Exceptional quality. Very sweet wines and rich in tannins, some of them sublime, with large aging capacity. Almost all producers declared production. Normal winter, with some rain, but afterwards the weather became dry between April and September. Grapes with a high sugar level, some of them burned. It only rained slightly at the beginning of the harvest (end of September). Scarce production.
