The Story

Layered nose with fine ripe apple and spicy nuances, youthful, dry herbal notes on the palate, with present, lively freshness through its acidity. The full body is buffered by its freshness, spicy, peppery elements, great texture and a long finish.

Written Notes

14.5% alcohol) Medium green-yellow. Wonderfully spicy anise and caraway notes lift peach and apricot aromas and are followed by fresh tobacco. This complexity continues in the mouth, where this technically dry wine's noticeable residual sweetness is nicely leavened by vibrant acidity. (Note that "dry" or "trocken" can be written on the label of a wine with less than nine grams per liter of residual sugar.) Bright yellow peach and banana flavors linger impressively on the finish of this powerful, monumental wine. Drink from 2009 through 2018.
