Written Notes
Clay Hills Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020 ($110) – The flagship of the range, it undergoes whole bunch fermentation. The colour is a crimson/garnet. This is finely structured with notes of truffles, animal skins, cherries, raspberries, dried herbs with some sour cherry notes on the finish. A wine of medium length, there is balance and good focus, with satiny tannins on a lengthy finish. The freshness makes this particularly appealing. Enjoy this any time over the next five to eight years. 93.
