Piodilei has been produced by the Pio Cesare Family since 1985 vintage. It represents our desire to produce a white wine from our own vineyards in the Barbaresco and Barolo with the same body, complexity and ageing potential of the great reds historically produced in those areas.

Written Notes
Good looking normal size bottle. Colour is green-yellow. On the nose it is youthful, intense, complex, refined, fresh, charming and generous. The taste is fresh, focused, elegant, vivid, refined, and dry, and average in acidity, medium-bodied, with balanced, well-structured, well-integrated, concentrated structure and youthful. On the palate it is layered and has cigar-box, mineral, new-oak, toasty and spice flavours. The finish is medium long, lingering, spicy and vibrant. This wine is sophisticated and fine. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 10-15 years and decant at least 45min before tasting.
