A graceful and harmoniously evolved expression of this iconic La Morra cru, the 2018 Rocche dell’Annunziata emphasizes finesse and aromatic clarity over power. The nose is open and complex, showing red cherry, raspberry and dried rose, layered with notes of orange zest, sweet spice, dried herbs and a touch of truffle. Subtle hints of tar and mineral dust add classic Nebbiolo character.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, with supple, finely woven tannins and bright acidity that keeps the wine fresh and poised. Red fruit flavours glide across the palate, supported by savoury nuances of tea leaf, liquorice and earthy minerality.
The finish is long, elegant and gently savoury, marked by lingering florals, red fruit and a refined mineral edge. A transparent, terroir-driven Barolo already showing approachability, yet capable of graceful ageing.
