The Story

Vincent Dauvissat is one of Chablis' most prestigious and sought-after estates. He farms nearly 23 acres of meticulously kept vineyards, all in Premier Cru appellations. These vines are splendidly sited on hillsides underlain by Jurassic limestone which give the wines incredible terroir. Yields are low, all picking is done by hand and the wines are known to age for decades

Written Notes

Note: from a 1 ha parcel planted in 1970 though as noted in the introduction, the surface area will decrease to .70 ha effective with the 2021 vintage An elegant, pure and airy nose is comprised by notes of zest, ocean breeze, quinine and white flowers. There is terrific underlying tension to the bigger-bodied yet even more refined flavors that brim with sappy dry extract on the highly complex and persistent bone-dry yet not really especially austere finale. This is built to reward extended keeping and I would recommend not touching a bottle for at least a decade. Terrific. *Burghound Don't Miss! 93-96
