The 2011 Quella is one of the bolder wines in the range. Dark red stone fruits, iron, smoke, plum, spice and menthol open up nicely in the glass. Next to the other wines in the range, the 2011 Quella is a bit brawny and rough around the edges. It will be interesting to see if further time in bottle softens some of those contours.

QUELLA is the name for the wine from a 9-acre site located in the eastern hills overlooking the heart of the Napa Valley.

Wine Information
The Quella 2011 emerges charming aromas of blue and black fruits on the nose. This vintage expresses the attributes of freshness and minerality upon entry but on the palate the wine has a particular roundness. The wine shows ripe but persistent tannins that are transformed into an appealing mineral-driven finish.
