Wine Information

1928 and 1929 are one of the most remarkable pair of vintages in Cheval Blanc history.

Written Notes

Decanted one hour. Dark, but bright ruby colour with some fading at the rim. Lovely, well developed and perfumed nose of ripe cassis, soft plum and minerals with some spicy, minty notes. Spicey, full bodied and dense with a rounded texture. Youthful and vigorous. Well balanced, long and soft aftertaste. Amazingly, it still tasted less than a few decades old. A very classy wine that is drinking well now but will keep going for another decade.
