When I visited Bordeaux in early March, Corona was a threat on the horizon and France was more concerned about an air traffic control strike. Dark purple colour with violet hue and almost black core. Well structured wine with elegant nose reminiscent of dark berries and mild spices, rather closed character, with discreet spiciness and delicate oak in the background. On the palate well structured with good depth and length, a wine with promising potential, perhaps a bit shy at the moment.
