Wine Description
The Story
Clad in an intensely deep golden robe, this wine immediately expresses the aromas of Pinot Noir and the unique terroir of Mailly Champagne. A nose of fresh spice seasoned with a pinch of violet and the heady fragrance of loam and bracken combine tenderly the subtle, sweetish taste of yellow fruits, especially vine peaches. The very delicate silk touch in the mouth, pleases our palate in the same way as home-made chantilly cream.
Made from 100% Pinot Noir, Mailly Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs proved a revelation in gastronomic circles when we first introduced it some 20 years ago – and it is still regarded as a model of its kind. Its rich but delicate character perfectly captures the personality of a single Grand Cru vineyard that allows Mailly to craft such uniquely terroir-focused Champagnes.
