Crafted exclusively from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards across the Montagne de Reims (with a slight dominance of Chardonnay alongside Pinot Noir), this vintage release beautifully captures the generous warmth of 2018 while preserving Palmer’s signature finesse and long lees-aging profile. The nose is deep, expansive, and highly seductive, opening with baked golden apples, dried apricots, and lemon curd, seamlessly layered with rich autolytic notes of toasted brioche, praline, subtle spice, and a flick of crushed chalk. On the palate, it delivers a broad, mouth-filling presence anchored by a fine, creamy mousse. The ripe yellow stone fruit core is structured, fleshy, and broad, yet balanced by a vibrant spine of citrus acidity that keeps the frame remarkably tight and focused. It finishes with impressive length, echoing with notes of toasted hazelnut, saline minerality, and candied orange peel.
