The Story

Amazon de Palmer really well deserves the expression “a champagne of exception”: an amazing oval-shaped bottle, the exclusive choice of Grands and first crus creating the assemblage, a long ageing for a decade on the deposit and pure sediments of the wine in the chalky deep cellars, a manual remuage (riddling) on wooden desks according to the traditional champenoise method.

Bright yellow colour. Rich, toasty nose with brioche and citrus. Dry, rich creamy mousse, lovely lemony taste and elegantly rich texture. Lingering toasty and minty finish. JL 92 (Oct 2021)

Prestige cuvée in an oval bottle. A blend of reserve wines made every five to six years. Montagne de Reims, 50:50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. A blend of 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006. 11 years on the lees. Disgorged 2018. 8,000 bottles for the world per year. L18135.
Deep straw. Slightly cheesy nose. Big grip on the palate. Not quite integrated yet.
