History

Saint Thierry owes its name to Thierry (disciple of Saint Remi) founder in the 6th century of a monastery at a place called "Hor". Around 941, a source miraculously arises 2 km from this place. Captured by the monks at a place called "Bois du Pré", it continued to supply the property and the abbey.

Vineyards

Vineyards and forests form in the Massif de St-Thierry a magnificent set of greenery, surrounding like a jewel the villages intimately linked to the coronations of the kings of France.

Winemaking

The wines of Champagne Mont d'Hor have a longer aging period than that required by law. Thus, our non-vintage cuvées are kept in cellars for at least thirty months, and our vintage cuvées from five to ten years.

The Mont d'Hor style is defined by a predominance of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay over Pinot Meunier. The share of reserve wines used in non-vintage cuvées, varying between 25 and 35%, maintains the style of the House.
