Wine Description
The Story
Blend: 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier
Dosage: 3 g/L
Among the many silhouettes of Champagne wines, the trend is evolving towards wines that are not even dosed. This implies that the harvest must be very qualitative because with less added sugars, we are better able to smell the product in the raw state. This gives the wine a natural, purity and youthfulness that will appeal to the most knowledgeable enthusiasts. With a beautiful, fairly clear golden yellow hue and fine and abundant bubbles, Extra Brut is an authentic wine that invites you to travel.
Tasting notes: The nose is very fresh and mineral with aromas of white fruit. The mouth presents a nice entry, frank and intense. It is dominated by minerality and salinity. Some anise notes complete a fruity harmony around candied citrus fruits which give it a delicious finish. It is a complex champagne that impresses with its purity and precision. Its freshness makes it an excellent aperitif wine to be enjoyed preferentially around an oyster platter or a few sushi.
Extra Brut is a champagne with a very low dosage (less than 6 g/l). Like the Brut Réserve without year, the Mont d´Hor style is respected in this cuvée by the preponderance of its reserve wines. Its low dosage makes it possible to highlight the quality of the harvest.
