Wine Description
The Story
Blend: 60% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay & 10% Pinot Meunier
Tasting notes: The nose is elegant, it presents a beautiful maturity and a great complexity. The notes of stewed fruit (quince, vine peach, apple ...) marry wonderfully with notes of pastries and some floral touches (white flowers), vanilla, and sweet chestnut. The mouth is lively, firm with a nice minerality (chalk) and beautiful aromas of dried fruit (almond). The finish is saline with a nice tension in the mouth. This champagne will be tasted as an aperitif and also proves delicious to accompany seafood such as crustaceans or noble fish.
Vintage 2009
Warmest conditions since 2003, optimal maturity, healthy fruit. Balanced wines with average sugars, lower acidities. High overall maturity. Vintage year for some, principally récoltants-manipulants (individual growers). In ’09, new EU rules reduced dosage for Brut to 12 g/l.
