History

The Brimoncourt wines are born in Aÿ, the historical heart of the Champagne Region. Our anchorage is our promise, compelling us to bring a special care to the selection of vines and grapes when creating our wines. Our quest for excellence relies upon the access to the best Crus in Champagne. Our oenologist and his team have searched for a terroir oriented supply, to provide the house with the finest possible grape varieties in the long run.

In 2008, Alexandre Cornot woke up the dormant Brimoncourt to turn it into a bright and bold Champagne Maison. Not afraid to go off the beaten path, he quit his successful Lawyer career in New York and moved back to his home region to fulfil his vision. Setting up a champagne Maison requested 6 years of uninterrupted hard labor, willpower and many encounters, to find the right partners and build the trusting relationships that would ensure the longevity of the house’s style.

For three centuries, champagne has been synonym of fine tables, subtlety and inspired savoir-vivre... Brimoncourt is our tribute to these for-ever champagne values: elegance, independence, sharing and lightness.

At Brimoncourt, we are proud of developing a lively and creative brand with strong personalities who share a common vision and passion for this wonderful wine that is champagne. More than just a great wine, Brimoncourt is a way of being, inspired by free spirits: it is a chivalrous desire, a sophisticated response to convenience and boredom.

Vineyards

Our wines are born in Aÿ, at the historical heart of the Champagne vineyard, in nearly bicentenary buildings and gardens. This anchorage in Aÿ is also a promise and compels us to bring a special care to the selection of vines and grapes when creating the Brimoncourt wines.

The Champagne terroir is unique. Its northerly location, harsh weather conditions, sloping landscape and the specificities of the subsoil all make for a multifaceted terroir. The art of assemblage, when it comes to champagne, is to orchestrate each parcel, each village and each contrast in order to emphasise its unique nature

Our Chardonnays, characterised by their fine bubbles and their floral notes, are made from the finest vintages of the Sézanais and the Côte des Blancs. Our Pinots Noir and Pinots Meunier stem from the Montagne de Reims and the Marne Valley.

A strong believer of this statement, Brimoncourt took the time to build up slowly the relations that are absolutely essential to the implementation of a sustainable and qualitative procurement strategy. This relationship of trust with players in both business and vineyard sectors is the cornerstone of our strategy.

Brimoncourt took the necessary time to find the right partners, to set up lasting, sustainable and qualitative procurement strategy. Cultivating relationships of trust with players in the business and the vineyards sectors lies at the core of our strategy. With our careful supply selection method, we encourage integrated viticulture throughout the vine growing cycle: soil and vine nutrition, biodiversity preservation, balance of the vine and strengthening of its natural defenses. Accelarated growth play no part in our development strategy.

Winemaking

With its careful supply selection method, Brimoncourt encourages integrated viticulture throughout the vine growing cycle: soil and vine nutrition, biodiversity preservation, balance of the vine and strengthening of its natural defenses. We can meet this requirement thanks to our slow-building development. Indeed, volume and accelerated growth play no part in our development strategy.
