The Story

Composed of 100% Chardonnay from 8 crus : Avize, Vertus, Oger, Grauves, Le Mesnil sur Oger, Villers-Marmery, Cuis and Chouilly.

Dosage: 8 g/L

Vinfication: Stainless steel

Ageing: 48 months

This very fine wine is full and elegant. Generous, fresh and subtle, the Brimoncourt Blanc de Blancs is perfect as a distinctive aperitif. This champagne is exclusively made of Premier and Grand Cru Chardonnay grapes from the Côte des Blancs, reaching a superbly fresh and generous structure.

Tasting note: A well balanced Champagne, supple and generous made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. This wine of exceptional elegance has a very light yellow colour with golden glimmers.  The typical nose opens on notes of brioche and fruits with aromas of white flowers (hawthorn and acacia). The palate is fleshy, smooth, enveloped by the freshness of citrus notes, lemon and grapefruit zest. A remarkable sweetness and a lingering mineral finish invite to prolong the pleasure.

Written Notes

Pretty impressive wesbite from Brimoncourt, a somewhat new negociant Champagne house, in the process of acquiring its own holdings.

Its raison d'être is: "to get back to the original DNA of champagne, to the time when it was a light and joyful wine, a wine that was drunk with friends, a wine for meeting with people but not at all formal".

Certainly in its presentation and presence in the bottle it appears to achieve that. Delicate, suggestive of quince, stonefruit, a little biscuit. Lean, tight, acid feels quite hard, green apples and citrus; powdery/ chalky.

It's light, a little tang, has you yearning for more - very easy to drink. Puts you in the frame of mind, or certainly suggestive of, a great entree fizz. Set the scene.
Creaminess pervades, citrus concludes. 92

Pale colour. Fresh grapefruit, pear, grilled nut, light lanolin, flinty aromas. Mouthfilling wine with generous grapefruit, lemon glacé, yeasty flavours, persistent creamy bead and underlying grilled, toasty, briny notes. Finishes chalky dry but long and minerally. Beautiful Champagne. 96 points.
