The Story

This wine originates from selected Niagara Peninsula vineyards located at varying elevations near the shoreline of Lake Ontario. In these areas, moderating onshore breezes combine with shale and limestone rich soils to deliver ideal conditions for Pinot Gris, resulting in a wine with the crisp fruit and supple texture typical of this classic, cool-climate variety.

Written Notes

This wine really shows pinot gris in its purity. 75% of grapes comes from Lincoln Lakeshore vineyard from clay- and sandy-loam soil with composed red shale. 25% from Beamsville Bench limestone rich stony clay. TA: 6.6 g/L; RS: <0.2 g/L; Alc: 12.5%. Produced 3,000 cases.

Fresh, pure and lovely ripe yellow fruit nose with peaches, apricots, hints of honey, and wood sorrel. The palate is dry, broad and bit oily texture with good intensity and precision. VIbrant acidity, pure fruit and delicate style. Long and lingering finish with peaches tones. JL 88p (3/2022)
