Located 40km to the east of Bordeaux, on the right bank of the Garonne River, its gravelly clay soil makes Pomerol the terroir of the finest Merlots in the world. Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Opulent nose with elegant fruit, ripe plums, blackberries, hints of blackcurrants and elderberries, backed by mild spices, aromatic herbs and blackcurrant spurs. Elegant toasting and gingerbread spices. On the palate elegant with a quite rich start and rather medium bodied with very convincing length, aromatic depth and juicy fruit, a wine with purity and precision.
