The Story

Blend: 81% Merlot Noir, 15% Cabernet Franc & 4% Cabernet Sauvignon

Origin: Saillans, Fronsac
VIneyard: 20 ha
Production:  64,000 bottles
Soil: Clay and limestone
Age of vines: 37 years

Winemaking:
Manual harvest
27 day maceration with 2 remouages a day, Fermentation in barrels (35% new oak) for 12 months at temperature of 28°C.

Written Notes

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Rich nose with distinct fruit, plums and cherries, hints of elderberries and also some wild strawberries in the background. On the palate well structured with very good body and length, ripe fruit quoting the nose, subtle oak and fine toasting lingering. Very good length.
