The Story

The exotic, highly perfumed, concentrated, massively structured, rich and complex single vineyard Clarendon Hills Astralis (“pertaining to the stars”) derives from 35 to 70 year old dry grown vines planted on a complex mixture of clay, ironstone and gravely soils. Inside Information

Located in Australia, Clarendon Hills specializes in producing high-quality Syrah wines, as well as other excellent single-varietal wines. Clarendon Hills wines are unctuous and viscous, yet harmonized, and express those elements which define the essence of great Shiraz - black fruit, bramble, super concentrated cassis and spice, undercurrents of tobacco, coffee and licorice root. Clarendon Hills also produces wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Semillon. The flagship Astralis vineyard is home to dry-farmed vines over 75 years old. The indigenous yeasts work their magic on Clarendon Hills wines, producing their particular character. Fine Clarendon Hills wines make an excellent choice for the investor or collector.
