Written Notes

Barossa Shiraz 2018 – Slightly tight at this early stage, is the first impression. Black fruits, aniseed, cloves, blackberries and chocolate. Definitely a bit young now, but in a year or three, this should really excite. Mouthcoating tannins, a supple texture, soft berry notes on the palate and a lingering finish all combine to impress. Becomes quite lush on the palate. This is sourced from the central and southern vineyards in the Barossa. Matured in a mix of French and American 300-litre hogsheads for 18 months, 15% new.

91 for now, but be in no doubt that with a couple of years in the cellar, this will kick on and up.
