The lighter color remains quite vibrant with absolutely no bricking. The initial hints of secondary development are now present on the textbook Clos des Ducs' aromas of dried rose petals and sour cherries along with a hint of spice. The purity of the sleek and superbly well-focused middle weight flavors is really sensational as there is an intensely tactile impression of stones on the lingering finish that is shaped by bright but not really drying acidity. That said my sense is that this is going to be a race between the supporting fruit and the underlying acidity as there is already some backend tang.
