A majestic, beautifully sculpted Cannubi — combining classical Barolo structure with the refined richness and regal poise that define this historic cru.

The 2019 Cannubi opens with a deep, captivating aromatic profile: red cherry, black raspberry, and wild strawberry, layered with elegant notes of rose petal, violet, and dried lavender. Beneath the floral lift lies a more serious core of warm spice, sandalwood, crushed stone, and sweet tobacco, reflecting the vineyard’s sun-drenched exposition and fine, sandy soils.

On the palate, the wine is silky, powerful, and impeccably balanced, offering a harmonious interplay of purity and depth. Vibrant flavors of sour cherry, raspberry, red currant, and pomegranate unfold alongside darker nuances of black tea, licorice, and ripe plum, revealing Cannubi’s natural generosity.

The tannins are ultra-fine yet firmly structured, giving the wine its classical Barolo backbone while preserving the graceful, polished texture for which Burlotto is known. A line of bright, energetic acidity carries the wine with precision, adding tension and clarity to the richness at its core.
