Written Notes

Champagne Gosset purchases 90% of its grapes from all around the region’s best villages. The Celebris is made exclusively of Grand Cru grapes from 8 top villages. The 1998 is made of 64% Chardonnay from Avize, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Chouilly. The 36% Pinot Noir originates in Ambonnay, Aÿ, Bouzy and Verzenay. Gosset is not a mass producer and Celebris production volumes are minimal between 20 000 and 50 000 bottles. 40 000 bottles were made in 1998.
Rich and concentrated nose full of lively ripe fruitiness. Charmingly classical nose full of this great medium-sized producer’s typical charisma. Open and voluptuous nose with spices, cinnamon and red berries. The generous fruitiness continues on the palate. The structure is stylish and firm with velvety elegant mousse. Fascinating and mouth-filling experience that it drinking well already now but possesses aging potential for 10 to 20 years maturation.
