A huge, powerful wine, the 2013 Pinot Noir Hyde Vineyard hits the palate with notable intensity. Game, smoke, grilled herbs, licorice and blue/purplish fruit flesh out over time. Savory, dense and at times quite wild, the Hyde is starkly different in style from the other Pinots in this range. Then again, that is Carneros. (AG)
