A wine with a superb topaz and mahogany colour, transluscent, sweet aromas. Viscous and honeyed in texture with some uplifting green citrus notes.

Written Notes
Good looking normal size bottle. Colour is brownish, amber, and looking dark and medium. On the nose it is intense, generous, round and ripe. The taste is rich, refined, ripe, round, and sweet, warming, and high in acidity, full-bodied, with well-integrated and concentrated structure. On the palate it is layered and has apricot, spice, smoky and honey flavours. The finish is long, vibrant, gentle, flavorful, round and spicy. This wine is a mouthfilling. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 20-30 years.

Inside Information
A luscious wine to enjoy with a rich dessert. Desserts were made for this wine, as are sweet mince pies, Christmas cakes, Stollen cakes and other rich Christmas fruit confections. With Cheese and Christmas cake A particularly excellent way to enjoy a glass of Malvasia is with a piece of Christmas cake accompanies by a slice of white stilton cheese, or even better Christmas cake accompanied with a piece of rich wonderful Wensleydale cheese from Yorkshire. With Chocolate, with Fruit, with Ice cream or all three Chocolate desserts served with Malvasia are greatly enhanced, as is fresh pineapple…..pour the wine onto the fruit for a real treat! Ice creams and sorbets are also great partners for this wonderful sweet wine. In fact there are few desserts this wine cannot accompany and enhance.
