Wine Description
The Story
A really nice expression of Clare Cabernet from the oldest vines on our estate. The fragrance and elegance is in no small part due to a small Cabernet Franc component in this wine. Very drinkable now, but 10-15 years stashed somewhere at the back of the cellar will reward those who can keep their hands off it. Lovely with pink roasted rack of Saltbush lamb.

Medium to deep red.Gorgeous, fragrant nose of ripe blackcurrants, crushed violets and some attractive cigar box/ cedary French oak. Quite lifted and perfumed – absolutely typical with this wine.Quite a rich palate brimming with red currants, cherries and cassis plus a little charry French oak providing both interest and structure.
