A spring and early summer of record-setting rain led to irregular flowering and triggered widespread outbreaks of peronospora (a.k.a. downy mildew), resulting in sporadic crop loss. August and September set records for drought and heat, catching-up ripening. Leisurely harvest during a chilly, largely clear October and November resulted in outgoing Rieslings of modest but generally lively acidity, moderate alcohol, and understated complexity. (...

Written Notes
Good looking half size bottle. Colour is green-yellow and light. On the nose it is open, youthful, fresh, generous, pure and charming. The taste is fresh, fruity, elegant, perfumed,robust, and dry, and high in acidity, light, with perfectly balanced, well-structured, concentrated structure and youthful. On the palate it is layered and has petrol, citrus, white fruits, floral and apricot flavours. The finish is long, flavorful, lingering and vibrant. This wine is sophisticated and fine. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 10-15 years and decant at least 1h before tasting.
