The 2023 Berg Schlossberg GG opens with a focused, cool-toned aromatic profile of white peach, yellow apple, and ripe citrus, layered with notes of lemon blossom, chamomile, and subtle herbal nuances. Beneath the pristine fruit lies a commanding mineral foundation of crushed quartz, wet slate, and flinty smoke, unmistakably expressing the steep, rocky Schlossberg terroir.

On the palate, the wine is taut, energetic, and beautifully structured, delivering layers of stone fruit, lemon oil, grapefruit pith, and green apple with remarkable clarity. A pronounced saline, stony minerality runs through the core, supported by a fine phenolic grip that adds texture and depth without weight.

The acidity is vivid, driving, and perfectly integrated, providing lift, tension, and exceptional length. Despite its intensity, the wine remains poised and controlled, showing both concentration and finesse in equal measure.

As the wine unfolds, subtle notes of white pepper, crushed herbs, smoke, and wet stone emerge, adding complexity and dimension.
