Super smooth and easy-drinking, the 2020 Blend 2 Trocken is a mix of Zweigelt, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on Illmitz's sandy, gravelly soils. Aged for 30 months mostly in used barriques, it pours a gorgeous, bright dark red and opens up with a super fresh, perfectly ripe dark berry nose—think cherries, blackberries, and cassis, plus cool hints of light toast, black tea, and leather. Deep ruby-garnet in color with a dark core and soft violet highlights.
