Bright medium gold. Honey, nuts and fusel notes but relatively little primary fruit on the nose. Then bright and fresh in the mouth, with lovely flavors of apricot, orange peel and honey. Boasts less sheer size than the '66 but I find this more precise and aromatic in the mouth thanks to brisk acids. Very long and firm on the back end. A wine with terrific structure and grip, even if Hugel says this bottle is less impressive than the last one he tasted.
