Written Notes
An aromatic Riesling, full of talc, chalky notes, bathroom perfumes. Elegant and floral with a light touch of citrus. The style suggests a wine more likely to have its origins in the Watervale sub-region than the more stony, minerally Polish Hill. This is very youthful and alluring. Just a beautiful drink. Good intensity on the palate. Lots of zippy acidity. A great future.
In Burgundian terms, the Florita Vineyard, which has a wonderful story and history behind it, is probably the closest thing the Clare Valley has to compare to the famed Romanee-Conti, as far as reputation goes (obviously not in terms of the character it gives the wines).
