The Story

Located 2 kilometres northwest of Clare township on the opposite side of the hill on which Jim Barry Winery is located, is home to the famed 'The Armagh Shiraz'. Written Notes

Medium deep colour. Fresh developed mocha, espresso, dark cherry, tobacco aromas with roasted chestnut notes. Very polished and complex. Rich and voluminous with deep set dark cherry, mocha espresso flavours, lovely fruit sweetness, tobacco nuances, fine plentiful chocolaty textures. Finishes al dente firm but long. Beautiful wine with a muscular line. Classic The Armagh. 14° alc. Now-2040 98 points

Deep, ruby colour. Intense, concentrated nose with elegantly jammed cassis, mint, new oak, sweet spicies, clove, still surprisingly elegant. Full-bodied, very extracted, jammy, less elegant, too expressive, austere and poshy style. Firm tannins and chocolatey in the finish. Still youthful but somehow in pieces still. Improves maybe after 5-7 years ageing.
