Written Notes

Dense, opaque, plum-black colour Flavours of chocolate and blackfruits. Spices and an axle grease note (which I mean in the most positive way). Blueberry notes. Richness and seamless. There is definitely an oak note, but the fruit steps up to match it. Moves through to excellent length with plenty of fine, well crafted tannins. Very good length. Excellent structure. A youthful wine with a long happy life ahead of it. A Clare classic.

Deep colour. Intense graphite, dark cherry, liquorice chocolate aromas. Concentrated palate with fresh dark cherry, graphite flavours, sinewy yet sinuous textures, lovely mid-palate volume. Finishes muscular firm with persistent sweet fruit. Lovely layered wine with massive cellaring potential. Keep away for a while. 15.6° alc. 2020-2050 97 points
