The history of Capannelle wine producing dates back to 1974, when Raffaele Rossetti, a 40 year old business man in Rome, decided to purchase an old XVI century farmhouse in the heart of Chianti.

As Capannelle looks down on Gaiole in Chianti, its true soul lies 2.5 metres underground, where a 1.000 square metre cellar acts as the hub of a refined wine making activity. Inside information

A very special bottle is employed for Capannelle Red wines. It consists of brown glass, twice the weight of normal glass, protecting the wine from infra-red rays. The surface contains two niches for hosting the labels. The corks are 55 mm long, made from the finest cork trees in the world, from Sardinia.
