Vintage 2019

The 2019 growing period posed many challenges following budbreak in early April, which brought severe spring frosts that took their toll on the vineyards. Written Notes

A refined and terroir-expressive Blanc de Blancs from Chouilly’s esteemed chalk soils, this 2019 Grand Cru in magnum presents both precision and depth. The bouquet is elegant and bright, with aromas of citrus blossom, lemon zest and green apple, framed by delicate white peach and white flowers. Subtle hints of brioche, toasted almond and chalky mineral add complexity and poise.

On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a fine, persistent bead and vibrant natural acidity. Citrus and orchard fruit are beautifully delineated, underpinned by a striking mineral thread that speaks to the chalky Grand Cru terroir. The texture is sleek yet expressive, with a hint of creamy lees complexity that enhances the mid-palate without softening the wine’s focused structure.

The finish is long, clean and mineral-driven, with lingering citrus peel, crisp apple and a touch of saline tension. A graceful and age-worthy Blanc de Blancs that balances purity with substance — magnum format offering extended development and freshness.
