Written Notes

Deep, purple color. Rich, perfumed nose with intense blackberry and cassis fruit with lovely toasty aromas of deliciously roasted coffee. Really seductive nose. Medium-bodied palate with refined tannin structure and sophisticated texture. Lovely flavour profile of cedar, blackberries, red flowers, and dark chocolate. Lingering long aftertaste shows mouthwatering mineral saltiness. So charming and electric wine! JL 93p (3/2020)

Dark purple red with violet hue and black core. Well concentrated nose, rich aroma reminiscent of ripe plums, black cherries, excellent toasting aroma and fine hints of vanilla, cloves and gingerbread. On the palate well structured with excellent depth and length, the best Batailley ever tasted en primeur. This wine confirms the very positive evolution of the last decade on style and quality. 96
