The Story

Located in the northern part of the Pauillac appellation, Clerc-Milon is one of eighteen Cinquièmes Crus (Fifth Growths) and faces Château Lafite Rothschild across the Route des Châteaux.

Written Notes

Clerc Milon - 59% C. Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 8% C. Franc and 1% Carmenere. 14% alcohol. This wine has a lovely aroma of blackberries, blueberries, tobacco leaves, and graphite. It’s tight and powerful, with bright acidity, lush berries, and grained tannin, and is well-structured. It’s a long and meaty aftertaste. Terrific effort. 95p.

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core.  Rich and very well structured nose with restrained fruit, very closed character, hints of blackcurrant and mild spices. On the palate well structured and ripe tannins, powerful with excellent length. A great wine demanding much more time for evolution.
