Written Notes

Haut Bailly - 56% C. Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 5% P. Verdot and 2% C. Franc. 14.5% alcohol. The production was only 30 hl/ha. Strong, noticeable minerality, graphite, tobacco, tight, strong structure, many layers, excellent mid-palate, and long, meaty aftertaste. Fabulous stuff. 98p.

Ruby.Dark fruits, anise, blackberries, fruit driven, intense, ripe, cassis and blueberries nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, anise, dark fruits, rich, intense and deep, layered, intense mouthfeel, subdued energy to it, so much texture, but so fine grained, very long finish. The concentration is imense.

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Densely woven nose with complex character and precision. Elegant fruit, blackcurrants and blackberries, hints of graphite, discreet toasting, subtle oak and hints of cardamom, cloves and truffles. On the palate ripe and velvety tannins, refined fruit, excellent length, freshness, elegance and purity. An impressing wine.
