Quintus - fresh, succulent and vibrant, harmonious, lush crunchy cherries and raspberries, fine structure, complex and lingering finish. Splendid effort. 93+p.

2020 Château Quintus
APR 21 Ruby. Blackberries, anise, blueberries, some spices, fruit driven nose, detailed. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries and anise, dark fruits, lush yet lively, long finish. A very fine Quintus and it suits this more vigorous and almost mineral style it shows this vintage. 93-95

  • 95p

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Elegant yet initially closed nose. Aroma reminiscent of black cherries, plums and Boysenberries, subtle oak and discreet spiciness, hints of cocoa and vanilla. Fine toasting aroma in the background. On the palate well structured with ripe tannins, elegant acidity, juicy fruit and hints of mild spices, subtle oak with fine toasting flavour in the finish. A well balanced wine with excellent length.
