The Story

Raymond-Lafon is a name to watch in the Sauternes district, particularly if one is looking for a wine that is close to the brilliance and majestic richness of Yquem for less than one-third the price.

Magnum. This wine seemed to be aging rapidly because it didn’t taste as splendid as in 2003 when I last tasted it. In April 2024, it displayed a nice range of botrytized flavors like brown sugar, honey melon, and apricot. There was nice sweetness and acidity and a light honeyed aftertaste. Nice and tasty. 92p.
