The Story

Dow’s Vintage Ports are only produced in years of exceptional quality and represent only a very small part of the total company’s production in that year. Written Notes

Good looking normal size bottle. Colour is ruby red and deep. On the nose it is intense, wide, refined, generous and rich. The taste is full, round, rich, fat, and sweet, high alcohol content, with sweet tannins, and average in acidity, full-bodied, with balanced, well-structured, well-integrated structure and developing. On the palate it is layered and has plum, nutty, blackberry, licorice, spice, violet, mineral and perfumed flavours. The finish is long, round, extensive, flavorful and spicy. This wine is a mouthfilling and well-rounded. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 1-5 years and decant at least over 4h before tasting.
