2007 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Clos de la Marechale Intense and heady nose with very ripe, sweet fruit, cherries and wild raspberries, vanilla, sweet spices, led pencil and green hints. Lacks elegance and depth to be very interesting. Broad and sweet with very ripe fruit and spices that fills the palate but lacks concentration. Very soft, both in tannins and acidity. Has a bit of complexity with earthy and green notes but the finish is very short and clumsy. Typical for the vintage and probably the worst Clos de la Marechale Freddy will ever make. It is however a solid drink and delivers drinking pleasure today. Drink now-2017 84p
