Written Notes

A delicious and good value Shiraz from McLaren Vale. Maturation is in a mix – 80/20 – of French and American oak hogsheads for sixteen months. 

Inky dark maroon, we have a nose which exhibits chocolate notes, blackfruits, dried herbs, plums, cocoa powder, soy and bay leaves. A generous and easy drinking style, which belies the balance and length on offer. The wine then moves to give us more savoury aspects on the palate. We have focus, balance, fine tannins and good length, and the wine will surely improve over the next few years. For enjoying any time over the next six to eight years. 91.
