McLaren Vale Shiraz from a thrilling vintage, this wine sees a little over a year in older French oak. An opaque maroon with a nose offering blackberries, florals, hints of mulberries, aniseed, leather, cold tea, bay leaves and cassis. Ripe in style with an understated but evident line of fine acidity, this is a ripe style, a wine of medium length. Will provide pleasure for the next six to eight years. Put simply, this is just a really good drink. 92.
