The Story

This parcel was planted in three different stages, the oldest by Auguste Morey, the next by Pierre Morey and the third by Dominique Lafon. Very well situated in the upper part of 'Les Charmes', the last vines at the south of the appellation next to ' Puligny Combettes'. Written Notes

The 2010 Meursault Charmes has found a level of focus over the last year that it didn’t have from barrel. The characteristic Charmes richness is there, but over time, the wine’s mineral elements have taken on additional prominence. Layers of deep, resonant fruit crescendo to the textured, multi-dimensional finish. This is a great showing from Comtes Lafon. Anticipated maturity: 2015+.

Clean, brisk, fruity nose. Good style. Cool on the palate. Medium-full body. Good grip and backbone. Classy too. This is very good indeed. And it will keep. Needs time.
