100 Parker points!
Composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, the stunning, full-bodied 2010 Dominus boasts an exceptional perfume of hoisin sauce, licorice, underbrush, forest floor, plums, black currants and jammy cherries intertwined with hints of cedar, baking spices and oak. Full-bodied and voluptuously textured, the 2010 is on a slightly faster evolutionary track than the 2009 (somewhat of an anomaly for these two vintage...

Dominus is created by French winemaker Christian Moueix, who crafted the wines of Chateau Petrus (a bottle of which recently sold at auction as one of the most expensive wines ever sold). The Dominus estate owns the historic Napanook Vineyard that was the base of so many of the historic Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignons of the 1950s and 1960s. It is considered one of the finest reds of Napa Valley.

Good looking normal size bottle, in an perfect condition and has by the neck level. Colour is ruby red, and looking bright and deep. On the nose it is intense, open, youthful, refined, seductive, rich and pure. The taste is fragrant, refined, harmonious, vigor, elegant, full-bodied, with perfectly balanced structure and youthful. On the palate it is layered and has perfumed, leather, earthy, dried-fruit, tropical fruits, tobacco, cigar-box, blackberry and plum flavours. The finish is long, gentle, extensive and lingering. This wine is sophisticated, outstanding and masterpiece. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 20-30 years and decant at least 2h before tasting. Good value for money.
A stunning wine with intense garnet colour and almost black core. Very expressive nose with excellent maturity, aroma reminiscent of blackcurrants, ripe blackberries, wonderful balmy spices, nutmeg and gingerbread, in the background candied black cherries, as well as hints of tobacco leaf and noble cedar wood. On the palate this Cabernet driven wine is excellently structured and balanced with enormous depth and length, ripe tannins yet elegant freshness and hints of minerality in the background. The flavour is displaying hints of ripe blackcurrants and dark berries, liquorice and balmy spices.
Looks very deep, this has the elderberry of no 5 again, very ripe and intense, on the nose, maybe 2009? Dark, toffee evolved, perfumed, wow that’s a big gob full of ripe juice, a touch alcoholic, not sure here.
